What is ” Mændenes Hjem” ?

“Mændenes Hjem” is a shelter for homeless men. The Shelter is for a place for a temporary and short stay. In cooperation with the staff, you will make up a plan for your stay and see if there is a possibility to get an apartment or to get a place at an other institution.Mændenes Hjem have dubble and single rooms. The price is 59,- kr for dubbleroom pr. person and 90,- kr. for a single rooms.
Mændenes Hjems shelters have rooms for 43 men. You can paid cash or your social adviser can pay directly.
 

“Mændenes Hjem” is a supportet accomodation. The supportet accomodation is a apartment on the top floor at Mændenes Hjem. The people living in the supportet accomodation is mentally ill people with drog use.

8 people can live in the apartment. The price is 2700,.-kr and 2160,- kr for food.

The visitation is handle in coorperation with The local council of Copenhagen and the staff at Mændenes Hjem.

“Mændenes Hjem” is a supportet accomodation. The aim of the supportet accomodation is to create good living condition for the people who cannot live in their own apartment. The target group is mid age people with drog problems.

15 people can live here. The price is 2700,- kr.
The visitation is handle in cooperation between The staff at Mændenes Hjem and the local social center. First contact is taken to the staff at Mændenes Hjem.

“Mændenes Hjem” is a Night café. At the Night Café homeless, drogsusers and other nightpeople can get a cup of coffee, a talk and get acute help. The Night café is open in the nighttime.

Both sexes are welcome.

“Mændenes Hjem” is a nurse clinic for homeless people. The nurseclinic is a service for street people and homeless on the street and the homeless living at Mændenes Hjem.

The nurse clinic is open day and evenings time.
The nurses also do street work on Vesterbro.
The services are free. Men and women are welcome

“Mændenes Hjem” has a streetwalking team. (Contact place). The Streets walking team helps homeless people on the street and drogsuers who wants help to get a place to sleep or a help to get into a treatment program for drogusers.

“Mændenes Hjem” is a eatingplace for homeless people. Mændenes Hjem wants to give homeless people a opportunity to get something to eat.

The eating place serves good and healthy food.
Good and cheep food are served every day.
The food are mainly ecology produced
In the weekends we serve morning brunch

“Mændenes Hjem” is a place where homeless people can get second hand clothes.

Free used clothes for summer and winter
Men and women are welcome.

“Mændenes Hjem” has a service that provide free clean syrenges for drogusers plus free condoms.

The service are open all day
The service are open all days a week.
Men and women are welcome.

“Mændenes Hjem” is a distributor of the homelsess paper “Hus Forbi”
